this is the point that I think we all agree on that Republican misses when he comes in here and stirs it up.
it is impossible for us to count back to the beginning of this current state of affairs because it's not just about sep 11 or iraq or spain or london.
this is international history that is hundred's of years old, that is still playing itself out.
As far as i'm concerned, justifying any extreme position in this discussion is just plain ignorance.

-----------------------------Good question. My ideal solution would be that we all with one voice condemn the terrorist acts. We all with one voice make a clear distinct difference between terrorists and our leaders (defined by *intentionally* killing the innocent) and make a clear distinction between the two.
Once this is established the terrorists (we believe) will begin to see that their popularity has diminished and that they have beheaded one too many innocent people.
*moving through a timeline very fast and obviously making this all sound easier then it is*
Now that terrorists see that the worlds majority condemns their efforts we begin to each look into our own governments actions individually and make proper changes to avoid war and using force to get what we all want.
It's simply the order of priorities that Democrats and Republicans have differently. We all are after the same thing. Peace and prosperity.
None of want this. Everyone wants the same thing but it's the process that makes us so different.
I don't think the terrorists should ever think that our concerns about our own governments are more important than their violent acts against the innocent. I think we should all change our ways but not nearly as front page as the crimes terrorists commit.

It is our belief that if this gets addressed right now it fuels terrorism escalating the entire situation to such a degree that we may even find ourselves (the world) in a biblical and irreversible situation where we lose 2/3 of the worlds population.

there is absolutely no reason to condone or support terrorism. PERIOD.
If you absolutely want to make war, fight the military of the country you wish to attack.

If so, then of course "liberals" the world over condemn these attacks. Your argument is simplistic, inflammatory and offensive. The idea that if we disagree with Blair's foreign policy, we are condoning the attacks in London, is simplistic and illogical.
Many of us in London have been expressing our disapproval for Blair's foreign policy for some time now, but that doesn't mean that we see these cowardly attacks on our city as anything but the work of murderous psychopaths.
Your analogy seems to forget that it isn't Blair who was attacked, it wasn't an attack on the powerful, it was aimed at the common people of london, the working classes of this city who are made up of every religion, race and way of life that can exist in a truly and wonderfully multi-cultural society.
The aim of these attacks is to divide Londoners, to make us mistrust our neighbours and remove our sense of freedom, and in that they will never succeed.
One london blog put it well:
"We don't much like our government, or what they do in our name. But we'll deal with that ourselves. We're London, and we've got our own way of doing things, and it doesn't involve tossing bombs around where innocent people are going about their lives.
