my ex called me a month ago and said that she's been trying for years to move on and just hasn't been able to. she's dated different guys but its never worked because she's hasn't fully moved on.
but she won't take me back because i am an asshole.

it sounds like you are measuring yourself to him: typical male territorial side effect of having a GF.
1. don't measure yourself, your looks, your intellect to your ex's new lover/husband.
2. obviously she found him attractive for some reason...she MET the guy and you didn't.
3. real men don't compare themselves to other guys by the way they look...unless you are vain
and shallow.4. GET OOOOOVER IT!!!!
5. don't worry about WHO or WHAT she is dating.... not worth your time and not your BIZNESS!
6. i am sure that you wouldn't want her to talk that way about your future/current GF...

Typical MALE territory? All the women I've ever been with, they've always commented on my female friends' looks. "look how SLUTTY she is in that tight skirt! yiech!" or... "First Michael and now Tom, it's only been 4 years - she's such a tramp!".

why compare yourself to someone you don't know?
if it makes you feel BETTER about yourself that you think you are better looking than an "ugly" guy ... this just means you are insecure about the way you look.
u wouldn't be comparing yourself to this guy, posting this on NT, if you were not still terriorial about your ex. which is it evident that you are.
the healthy thing to do is to be happy that u 2 are not together for obivious reasons, wish her well, and GET OVER IT.
