At the end of the day, somehow, the republicans will blame everything on Clinton.

I have to say that some of the euros on this board are flagrantly ignorant when it comes to politics and world events. So here's some learnin' 4 y'all. This is also for dipshit americans...
a)On Iraq- the US didn't invade to rape and pilliage. Iraq doesn't have that much oil to begin with. The US invaded to secure the region and force democracy. In doing so, they secure their oil suppliers. Oil is a huge factor for the world economy as China will soon drink all of it up, therebye putting industrialized nations on pause. This will probably spawn some wicked oil-driven wars. Europe will not be spared.
b)On Bush- Bush is a figure head. He does nothing than more than give speeches (poorly). The exceutive office is run by a consortium of CEOs, industrialists, scholars, and a few militray types. So your photoshops of Bush with horns and flames are misguided.
c)On the Middle East- The hatred for the US in the middle east is twofold. First, the US supports Israel as it supports Taiwan. The US supports Israel soley because it is a democracy. Second, the US supports the Saudis, who have control of the resources, but little control of their nation or the region. They bend to the clerics who believe them to be in cahoots with satan.
Solutions: At the moment the only solutions to these problems are renewable energy and education.
d)To the nitty-gritty-
You euros obsess over Bush and Iraq nonstop. This is practically all you people can think about. The simple fact is the US overthrew a madman dictator to secure its own interests. So what? Do you even know what kind of shit your nations have done throughout history? Why not put your energy into something postive- Like feeding Africa. BTW, did you know that Americans are by far the most charitable nation on earth? We give more than all of europe combined.
You have this notion that all americans are overweight and uneducated. The reason you believe this is because you believe your own mass media. It spews bullshit at you about america, and you eat it up. As Marshall McLuhan said, "The medium is the message".
We as americans are very friendly, generous, and on the whole, we like foreigners. Most of the euros I've known have been cool, but the ones on this board seem like a bunch of mob ruled rubes.

----------------------------But all is not lost, as everyone I know is pissed off about it. Luckily the constitution can be reverted. Give it a generation.

So why would more than half of the population re-elect someone who is running the economy into massive debt and fighting an unpopular "war on terror" ??

-------------------------Because of potent use of wedge issues combined with Democrats loosing their base constituents starting in the late 60s.

during a war, there is always war profiteering.
- mrdobolina0
true, but done by members of the administration?
- ********0
Yes, but usually not done so blatantly. Cheney and friends got way too greedy, but telling a bunch of CEOs not to make money is like expecting a snake not to bite. This isn't why they invaded of course, but it was just a cherry for them.
- mrdobolina0
your flippant attitude about it is scary.
