You've demonstrated nothing but holes in your position, kuz. And not once satisfactorily responded to the facts I refuted you with.
Transitional fossils? I hope you eat a good breakfast. Lot's of protein. You'll need it. :)
- skt0
haha, skt, easy now, you're entering into the nonsensical Kantian "why would a good god..." crap. ;)

(Jun 16 05, 08:28)Thats not really the point i was making.
Is it not true that evolution of viruses can be measered over a relatively small amount of time. Unlike mammals etc..
Now if we can see them evolve in order to overcome obstacles (penicilin etc) in a short space of time, why shouldn't the same be true of insects, birds, animals over much greater timespans?
Oh and is mutation (if it helps you to survive) not the same as evolution discipler?

How does your definition of the Bible differ form that of the vedas of Hinduism (an older text) or the Koran (albeit a younger text)..countless authors, consistency of material, survived bannings, burnings, etc...
Why is the Bible so special?
- TheTick0
Jesus built my hotrod by the way...

like you guys are some scientists and shit.
- Kuz0
your assertation that arguments are full of wholse prove nothing but your on obstinancy. Not one single "hole" have you pointed out, nor one objection that i haven't sufficiently challenged that did not draw either silence from you or a reiteration of a mute point. But i guess you have to be childish and say "nah nah, i haven't learnt anything! so there!"
ha.

skt - there is a difference between MACROevolution which suggests that species can beneficially mutate and become a completely new species over time and MICROevolution which states that there is adaptation within a given genome. I.D. proponents have no problem with microevolution.
Tick - I believe the Bible is unique in the number of harmonizing manuscripts that comprise it and even more unique in the message it conveys - a message of redemption to a fallen race. World religious literature conveys a performance - based righteousness that is achieved thru works. The message of the Bible is that God reached down, thru his sin who lived a perfect life in exchange for our imperfect lives, and payed the penalty we deserved to pay. So that, by faith (not works), we could receive reconciliation with him as a free gift thru the appropriation of Christ's sacrifice. World religions = dead prophets. Christianity = risen savior (who has the ability to save).

Arrrgh, no one is going to win this stupid Creationalism vs. Evolutionalism argument.
So why go on forever?
- discipler0
riiiggggght, I'm childish, kuz.
- discipler0
Jaline, all of this was dealt with in the last thread... I'm not sure why kuz felt the need to start it up again.
- Kuz0
Jaline, have your read through this thread? Clearly the evolutionists have won on the 2nd law of thermodynamics point at least.
- discipler0
correction, tick, through his "son" i meant, in that post.

If you're a scientist, you might as well be an Evil Scientist. They have the coolest stuff and do seem to get the chicks.
Sure, then you gotta get henchmen, and get them health coverage..it's a mess...
But I think you know maybe that's what's behind this. The religious types needed some Evil Scientists and the evolution angle is the way in...I man Evil Priests are so 19th century..I mean sure Rasputin was cool, but after that what? Sex scandals (ministers) and child sex abuse (priests)...so they took a gander over at us secular humanist types and said "Hey Now! Those Evil Scientists look pretty cool..we need some of them..hmm..but we don't really do the science thing.... scientists...science... A-Ha1 We did that Scopes thing with that Darwin feloow , what, a hundred years or so..let's drag that chestnut back out into the open and see what shakes."
- discipler0
heh, "won" lovely. kuz, it's difficult to argue with a confirmed law of science. If anyone would like to know who "won" this, just go and look at a textbook definition of the second law of thermodynamics.
- discipler0
I've got tons of work to do. Lovely chatting, lads.

Disipler:
"World religions = dead prophets. Christianity = risen savior (who has the ability to save)."Fine. Let the crusades and killing in the name og godliness continue then. You know because Christians are gods special little snowflakes and would only reveal himself to them and no one else. Got it. Here take my science while you're at it. ...
- discipler0
God has revealed himself to all who would investigate. He's easily found, Tick. :)
- out.

- mrdobolina0
dude, you cant prove your god either.
you are an increasingly annoying person.
- Kuz0
I "won" because you've deliberately misinterprated the 2nd law, through whatever pseudo-scientific sources you get your knowledge from. Using a wholly scientific critique i took apart (with considerable help from Mikotondria and others) your false interpretation, and proved that the 2nd law is not incompatible with Evolution. To which i drew from you nothing but silence, evasion, and reiteration of mute points.
