Sat in the Grey Area when I was living in Amsterdam and got retarded with Jake Burton and Craig Kelly for a couple hours.
Nicest guys ever and fucking hilarious. Craig Kelly had his huge red afro kickin' and was walking around the city in oversized Burton pajamas with the drop door on the ass. He was quite a sight.
I got to sit and grill them for along time on all kinds of snowboarding history and whatnot, they answered all my questions and had wonderful conversation, not getting bored with me for quite awhile. I think it was because I kept buying them pear Looza and packing the Bubbler.

So after two to three weeks of serious nonsense after moving to LA, no apartment, food sickness , fights with random folks trying to defend my sister, flat tires, broken down cars, and worst of all no weed I was really having it with this place. So on the way to driving my sister to the airport, actually she was driving cause I was too hungover. 405 head out the window stuck in traffic. SUV/tinted windows pulls up next to us. Back seat passenger rolls down window.
" Say would you have a lighter"
" No but I have some matches."
"That's cool."
Hand matches across cars/ see my man about to light a blunt.
"Excuse me I reallize this may be weird, but could I puff on that right there."
"Well, do you have a bowl?"
"No."
"Papers?"
"Nope."

" Duh."
And then my new best friend hands me a new blunt, and then he reaches down just below his window into what was the largest back of weed ever pulls out roughly 7 grams of the crystalliest stioniest shit I ever smoked. And this is all on the 405 freeway, we had stopped driving at that point."What in the world?"
"Hey man thanks for the matches."Then the two drove off into traffic and diappeared. My sister and I just sat there for like a minute people honking, like was that for real.
And from that point I realized LA was a beautiful place.
