I've also heard that soy could elevate (bad) esrogen levels in men and woman. Also that as a protein it's not as substancial as bovine protien is.
I do think it's very possible to live on a vegitarian diet, and you have so many more options today that you would have several years ago.
Some of the fake meat stuff tastes better than the meat its trying to imitate imo.

it has pretty much everything you ever need, one serving equals six organic salads!
- acescence0
there's no real evidence supporting whether half of what is in a multi-vitamin can be absorbed by the body
- scarabin0

I dont know if it's still around, but Wendy's advertising took a turn for the worst a few years back. They had run a special (artificial holiday) ad campaign which revolved around the true story of a freak-show styled chicken named Mike. Apparently back in the 50's someone beheaded a chicken which didn't kill it... the chicken was still alive although headless due to a bit of brainstem that was left in it's neck. Rather than put it out of it's misery, the owner kept it alive, feeding it nutrients and water with a small eye-dropper. The man brought his prized possession to statefairs to show it off before it finally died about a year and a half later.
Not only did Wendy's show pretty poor taste in advertising with their campaign, but they also showed thier contempt and lack of concern for life, wether it be the animal on the bun or the one they sell their food to.

...not eating it because you care for another creature and don't feel it should be harmed or pained for the sake of appitite is just plain wrong. You might as well move to France with that type of attitude....
