I find myself buying it every month I should really subscribe, you on commission James?

I would rather buy MaxPower, this is what's really happening in British culture right now (and has bee for ages).
It's funny how designers 'claim' to be cutting edge, 'of the moment' etc., but they won't touch this stuff.
All you graphics geeks may skoff, but I'll tell you there's far more interesting and innivative stuff going on there.
Grafik, CR and all that shit in the graphics section in Waterstones is Design for designers. Design wank mags telling you what stuff you should be emulating.
Snobbery...

Some of 'em are twats, but what I'm saying is that these magazines show a very narrow spectrum of the work being done by people today.
I think they tend to look in the same places. And very easily disrecard some culturally important stuff, simply because it doesn't exist in their design for designers world.
I understand it is aimed at designers. But wouldn't the real challege be to create a pro-design mag aimed at the mass market, with an aim of informing the public about the advantages of good design, and giving the public a platform for feedback and opinion.
Maybe designers could learn from their public, or should we just continue to tell them to shut the fuck up, we know best and as a result end up like art, sucking ourselves up our own arse and ailienating ourselves. And let someone else in 'under the radar' and steal our jobs?
Grafik is unhealthy!
