personally, i think it's beautiful and i think it works. the whole merging of the colors can definately be symbolic of many things (currencies, cultures, industries, etc.). i want to read a case study by lippincott mercer...

i like it as well. and in a way also reminds me of those intricate designs you find on banknotes.

the b&w comment on the identityworks.com site is very valid though.

Beautiful indeed, functionnal "meaning-wise" but maybe not "technically-wise".

the type solution is interesting but the square symbol will be trouble smaller.

Yes, it does happen to look nice in this particular NTB enviroment over there, but just wait till the staff starts putting them in greyscale on letterheads and business cards.
It won't be pretty no mo.Beautiful typography though. Very ooh and aah.

(Jan 29 05, 10:31)Yes, it really looks like a design from a bill or something. It's nice.

why a period at the end?
- Jaline0
I just noticed that after you said it.
And it's bothering me.

First thing I though of was processor chip, then I read bank of new york and was like, oh I guess it's supposed to be something else then.

shouldnt a bank be about clarity and simplicity to its users? This looks nice but scaled down it looks crude and complex .. which is something that no one wants to think of as far as banking goes.

I like it, so long as they have a color printer handing at all times.
Black and white it looses all meaning
