we had our wedding for under $8,000,
it was the honeymoon, month in spain, that cost us.

see that's smart, never spend TONS of money on a one night wedding. Rather take that money and buy a house or go on vacation

yea, IMO the wedding machine is out of control. i can't stand seeing 22 year-olds wearing a tiaras...wtf.
it takes a very real, very important day and clouds it with frou-frou dresses and stress. we had a 15 minute ceremony with 8 witnesses (family) and it was incredibly moving.
but again, if that's your thing...enjoy!

food, drink, friends(120), couple of get ups, and moms garden, what else do you need. Still adds up quick though.

I've just been so damn crafty lately. I went ahead & ordered the pattern to make my own dress. We're going to keep it as simple & personal as possible.

I knew after the second date- but we have been together for 10 years... got married in September on top of the red rocks in Sedona Arizona and then drove across country for two weeks doing what we do-
having fun together.
