the whole living together before marriage is a loaded issue... it may work, it may not work... but there is nothing immoral about it...
to me, it is a nice testing ground. but that was not the motive for moving in with her... i was unemployeed for two years, working on my last month of rent money... and she said it would be smarter to live together, save up on travel money, etc.
i have lived with a previous girlfriend as well.. that, again, was because of the whole constant sleep over thing... it was convenient for both of us to be in the same bed in the same apt... but that relationship broke up after we got tired of each other and she insisted on seeing somebody else.

LOL sputnik! Congrats again. I was on NT three days after my wedding as well. =)
Lotsa people have already mentioned being good friends. This is also to your advantage. The longer (or better) you've been friends, the easier it is.

haha jake, i AM the wife :)
i read a lot abour marriage or couples and conflict, but somehow we have tremendous harmony and never really argue about anything, even if our opinions conflict.
i never forget that i love him more than everything and value his thoughts and opinions.

if you're going to be living together then why not just get married?
- janne0
anyways, congrats, sputnik!!

I wouldnt get married, neither myself or my partner have ever been baptised, so I wouldnt know who to ask to do it!
I'd rather live in sin thanks

had one once - a real good one, 4.5 years - should have got married - but something held us back - we lost each other.
i reckon if you get a good one (for both parties) make the commitment, biggest mistake i ever made not doing so.

thanks guys!
living together is a personal thing...if you don't believe in it or don't want to do it, don't.

i live with my girlfriend now and i'm not planning on rushing into things, we all of a sudden have bigger bills, we got a new car, and pretty much have to regroup to throw that big party with a taco stand in a parking lot, if you know what i mean.
marrying is expensive.

wise words, sputnik.
if it wasn't for your man i'd come over and...
;P

people. do what you want as long as your happy.
- swollenelbow0
yeah it's mostly family memebers and friends that say "so, when are you getting married?"
"when you give me 20g's to throw a party, now shut the fuck up and let's double date."
=)
- -sputnik-0
haha! i am at work...
we went the complete non-traditional route. not into the white-dress, contrived honeymoon bit...its lovely for other people, just not for us.
we are in the process of buying a house so our trip will wait a few months.
