yeah ok.....cosmo and I are working on this issue.... and we also havent chosen a charity yet because of this issue....not only about people believing the money will go to charity.....but that the money IN the charity goes to the people affected over there...
I know first hand that people in new york and all over the world donated money to red cross.... and then the red cross decided that some of the money would be earmarked for future relief.....
we are going to contact paypal to see if we can set something up directly.... or when we finally choose a charity....that we get them to handle the accounting etc....and/or for them to post some sort of letter on their website that we are legit....
we are already dealing with this issue.....the site will also request legal and accounting help....I know a bunch of people in non-profits....so I am making some phone calls as soon as it is up....

i think you have to look more towards rebuilding projects...not the immediate aid-organizations as they in many cases have enough money for their task: immediate and urgent aid.
In the Netherlands we have "Artsen Zonder Grenzen" (roughly translated: Medics Without Frontiers) and they let us know a week ago they won't need anymore money from the shared central bank account / org. (Giro 555) because they had by far enough money to do what they only do: urgent medical assistance.
Now the other org's like Novib here are more aimed at structural aid, like rebuilding schools, hospitals, long term psychological help, infrastructure etc.
Now for that structural help we still have not gathered enough money in the world, it's gonna cost us many billions to do all that!

well the point of the logo is growth....its a person and flower at the same time....
so maybe we need to start searching for a charity that does what you said.....rebuilding....
