when I post this thing with the help of cosmo.....cheesy html version up first then when MT hits us up with an account we are gonna build a backend...
the site will get up the info about who,what,when, how, etc...and what we need .....
then we can start getting the word out.....

Hey liquid, dutchie, and others:
I'm assisting with a tsunami relief poker tournament (more info on the Name an Event! thread). I'm trying to figure out how to reassure everyone that all the money is indeed going to the charity. How are you guys doing it? In other words, how will people know for sure that we're being honest with our intentions? Is this a legal issue?

i have no idea.
but here in the netherlands we have one central bank account no. that shares the money with major aid-org's, and they register amounts coming in from fundraisers etc.
we should have some sort of verification, or support from an aid-org. we donate to..

Yes, exactly. I mean, I completely trust the organizers of this event that I'm helping with, but I'm just trying to figure out how other people will want to be involved if they don't know for sure where their money is going. Our word is not going to be good enough.

and.......i remember jevad (?) or someone else posting a link to this huge company with a splash-page for this disaster and when i wanted to donate them some money via paypal it appeared on paypal the money went to their company initially and then i cancelled. you never know, they could also generate interest from all that.
