Big corporations should be donating substantial money to needy causes all the time, not just when there is a big disaster.
that's if apple even is donating any money or whether they are just telling the public how they can help.

i have many more points. i'm thinking that with the way things are going today all of them are on track to be proved.

at times like these, every little thing helps. i am not sure if apple is giving away any of its own money but a reminder on their site could prompt others to donate.
amazon has a similar message on their site and so far people have donated $4.5 million dollars through amazon in a matter of 2 days. and more people are donating as i type this.

my point was that that was the point. which, for those of you keeping track is the 3rd point today. nice.
anywho. it was something like nothing will ever be good enough. then a poster got all bent out of shape taking my post too serious,then i said no matter what you do or say someone will always take it too serious, thus, proving both points.

I'm with Kona here...
The fact that they would pull down the home page of their site is amazing. I hope other 'evil corporations' can take a cue from apple and forget about shareholders interests for a couple days.
Take down your site and link to relief funds before you whine that it's some kind of ploy.

Well, I'm not going to go back and read that suring thread, but when you say someone is taking somethign to "serious," it's usually in response to their reaction to a joke, amusing anecdote, etc. This thread was about apple's message. There was nothing to take "too seriously." Am I off?!?

i was honestly just messing around TRYING to be funny. probably unsuccessfully. i didn't even look to see if microsoft or dell or whoever had anything on their sites, then when someone, i forget who, posted the link to microsoft i was like 'shit, they DO have something about it on there.' honestly, i was trying to be funny doing the whole mac vs. pc thing.sorry. which proves my 4th point of today. i'm a dickhead.
