all jokes aside, apple in doing that is pure class.

microsoft and amazon.com both have pledged $3 million each for the cause
- mrdobolina0
where are apple computers manufactured?
- jox0
Some in Ireland
- slinky0
is Apple's money reaching out too? or just their hearts?
- BonSeff0
in a magical land made of chocarit

they should start sending some do-re-me and containers full of real apples

I'm with Slinky. Call me jaded, but even if Apple is sending some of their disposable money to help out, it seems like nothing more than a superficial attempt to prove their benevolence. Otherwise, why even mention that their hearts go out? Why not just send the money without making it public?!?
- lifeinsodium0
maybe there are sending. and want people to send some too.

adam :
they get a lot of traffic and by reminding people that their money can go towards relief instead of some new gadget they are perhaps sacrificing some income as well.
i think it's not just a publicity stunt, they are purveying good will.
- lifeinsodium0
ok that made no sense. what i typed earlier, when translated in english would mean:
maybe they are sending money. and want other people to send some too.
- mrdobolina0
as if apple isnt just another publicly traded company, wake up.
- adamfinger0
I am not an "Apple-hater" in the sense that I think their computers are crappy, but I am certainly against their style of marketing, which is to make themselves appear as a benevolent friend rather than a faceless corporation. So to me, telling me that their hearts go out and linking a few sites to donate to is a very easy ploy to further their appearance as the good guys in the computer race.
Again, we all know where to donate the money to. Why can't think just send the money without patting themselves on the back at the same time?

jesus christ people. is anything ever going to be fucking good enough for you?!?
i mean shit. it's 75 degrees out, sunny, slight breeze, and you just found 10$ in your pocket, and you say 'son of a fucking bitch, it could have been 76, partly sunny cause 100% sun is just too much for me, there could have been no breeze and it could have been $20.' now i'm going to be a prick all day.
jesus. you people need help.

it's a corporate joint. think about it

very nice. kudos to them.
