As the story goes, some Marines were pinned down in a building in a Fallujah neighborhood. Terrorists throughout the city heard about it and were rushing to the area to try and take the Marines out. The Marines called in air support and the first responders were Air Force -16's. This video shows a group of guerrilla's rounding a corner onto the street leading to the Marines. The F-16's altitude appears in the upper right corner. In the lower right corner is the countdown until the bombs impact. The crosshairs in the middle indicate where the pilot is directing the laser spot to guide the bombs. The number just to the right of the crosshairs is the length of one of the arms of the crosshairs on the ground in meters. The bombs are two 500lb laser guided bombs. Anyone standing unprotected within a quarter mile of their impact is killed instantly.
The total casualty count from this one strike was 48.
No Marines were killed.

I'm amazed that with all this precision and technological might you sound mighty proud of the US lead coalition hasn't managed to make a single guess at the civilian death rate.

----Agreed JazX. It hardly seems fair. They didn't look much organised to me. They certainly weren't skilled in the art of combat or they won'y be walking down the street in a big group like lambs to the slaughter.
Probably a bunch of pissed of civilians taking up arms in response to being occupied by a country that would only allow western sympathetic "leaders" to run for election in their new "democracy".

I just think with all those brutal be-headings video taped and released to the public that it's about time this kind of thing be shared.
Everyone one of those killed is a potential threat to you an me. I'm not advocating violence and death, but those terrorists are animals and will gladly give their life to take out ten U.S soldiers, or carry a nuke to downtown chicago wiping out the entire city.

All I know is if I was a Iraqi at this point I'd be fighting to get America the fuck outta my country too...
these people are not terrorists... Most of them are pissed civilians with guns who are sick of things blowing up around them...would you hand over your country?

I dont agree with the U.S. invasion, but it's done, we are there. I do agree that I would be pissed as hell too if some ego maniac preident like Bush invaded my country for the sole purpose or re-election and filling Haliburtons pockets.
Those Marines over there are kids too, and fighting under orders. Nice to have the technology to back them up. Thats all.
