If you don't like it here, get the Phauck out.
- opiateSuch a boorish statement. Why is ownership always assumed by the most ignorant:
"If you don't like the way we [Blank] then why don't you go back to your own country/leave the country/go to Russia!"
Social change happens from within, usually errs on the side of acceptance and if those who didn't like "it" got "out" oppressive things like the slave trade, women's limited right to vote etc would still be around.

and the Ukraine situation was on the cards. I just don't know who to believe

Republicans stopped 'Slave Trading'. Christians. Ironic ehh?
- mrdobolina0
republicans used to be the ones who worried about the environment too.
- mrdobolina0
I just recently started disliking republicans, once they got all religified.

I'm a Moderate anyway. I see good points and bad point in both parties.

I gotta learn to avoid threads like this... they always take a downward spin.

fiscal responsibility and the 'conservative' party have parted ways, 70's republicans still vote for these guys. I dont get it.

I see what you're saying bitsurfer, but when you get thrown into a situation where either you die or someone else dies, there will be some drastic measures taken. I'm not saying that I've ever knowingly been in a life or death situation aside from car wrecks, but I've been in some hectic scraps and you've got decisions to make. The best thing to do is get out, but if you can't then you have to fight your way out. Such is the position of most of our troops over there. I don't believe that they all want to be over there, but you can bet that they aren't going to lay down and let their lives be plucked from their bodies either. DAMN these political threads! This world was built on war and will die by war. It's that simple. A very large percentage of people live on land and live lifestyles that they do as a result of war or hostile invasions. That lifestyle can be good or bad, but the fact remains that it has happened. I'm no history major, but I do know that the United States was not developed peacefully, nor were too many other states/cultures.

well, probably it will take 800 more years for your country to reach the same conclusion as we:
you can loose a war by 'winning'.
