the girl coming out of the tv was better on the original version of the Ring. they filmed it backwards so that it looks weird when she comes out.

i thought the scarriest part of the ring was the retro style cinema-photography interlaced throughout the film. creeped me out.
was that part of the origional? that part seemed more of an amirican genre/style.

actually, it wasn't the witch that killed the kids, it was that old dude that lived in that town back in the 50's
Blair Witch was pretty intense.
Two movies that reallly but job in my head were "Raising Cain" and "Jacob's Ladder"
Anyone ever see "Society". Thats a crazy movie...same guy that made "From Beyond" and "Re-Animator".
"Lifeforce" was pretty wicked too

Old dude... what the hell are you talking about?
- The movie leads the audience to believe a few things
1. It is the witch- killing like they said she did.
2. It was someone else- anyone else but the witch... most likely the one's that sent the kids up there.
3. It was the "missing" friende who disappeared. Or even a plot between both guys (one is missing the other is in the corner and the girl gets wacked)... why did the other dude run into that house? Why did he run AWAY from that girl? Why into the basement at all?

If the directors would have done it right- they could have made part 2 a continuation of this mystery- instead they sold the rights and a peice of shit was made.

alien, Audition was kinda strange in the telling. the timeline is pretty fucked up.
basically at the end, he looks at her with love in his eyes... and needles of course. . . *shiver*
she was nuts because of how she was treated in the past. she thought the guy was fucking her over so ... well, i wont ruin it for anyone interested. good shit.
Ichi is more of a gore film, true. but is DEFINITELY worth the watch for a horror fan.

old dude, who the F- u talking to? Not me I hope, cause i'am not old.
Hopefully SAW is something to look forward to.

you don't remember the part where they were interviewing the residents of Blairsville? the guy named rusten parr that lived in the woods...a recluse that rarely visted town. if you saw the special that ran on SCI FI, "Curse of the blair witch", they went into more detail.
that is the old dude that was killing the kids back in the 50s. they elude to the possibility that the witch was having him do it, but he was the one that did the killing.

actually now that you mention it I do remember...
forgot about that special.

Aww Yeah! Lifeforce... such a classic! Another one that deeply impressed me was Wolfen.
And of course as mentioned before here "V" freaked me out as well... I still prefer the original Ring to the remake (although the remake is really good!) especially because the creeping TV sequence is so low key in the original, and too FX led in the remake. Also, the Texas Chainsaw remake (imho) didn't have the same intensity of the original (that dinner scene, the constant drone of the saw!!).
I still have to see Society again.. i once saw bits of it when i was a kid (the party scene) and to this day I'm still not sure if i wanna see it.
Another classic (not reeeeeally horror) is Scanners.
