this is part one of the festival. some great films in that, but i'm hoping part two is better. i think the shining is the greatest film ever made, but i've never seen it on the big screen, so i'm crossing my fingers that they'll show it in part two.

Films that scared me/creeped me out:
The Exorcist (My all time fav horror flick), The Blair Witch Project (yes, that ending still freaks me out), Ringu.Other films: The last house on the left (not really scary, but quite disturbing), texas chainsaw massacre (the original, not the weak remake).
And in the gory-but-fun category: Ichi The Killer.

My parents actually let me watch "IT" when I was like 9. They never let me watch anything bad like that until I was 16. But yeah, that one has scarred me for life. I'm particularily scared of evil clowns.
I'm not too sure of any recent scary movies. Just the usual I guess. Exorcist, The Ring, etc.

Oh, here's the link for "IT"

"V"
man- haven't thought of that in awhile- I won't say scary but cool back when your younger.-
I use to be a horror movie junkie- and although most were bad and most were not scary I couldn't get enough of them.some favorites:
- Exorcist
- Exorcist 3 (when the old lady is climbing the ceiling)
- Pycho
- TV series "Darkside"
- Seven
- PuppetMaster
- Friday the 13th (1 and 2)
- The Ring--
I don't get the attraction to "28 days later" seemed like a typical zombie movie to me and had too many story flaws- bored me actually.. but to each their own.

What Lies Beneath
Probably scared me more than any movie I've seen. Saw it in the theater. Such great suspense.
When I was a kid, though, watching King Kong for the first time when I was maybe 6 or 7 really scared me.

"for me it has to be the final-ish scene in blair witch where we see him standing in the corner and we know exactly why."
can someone explain that last scene in BW pls?
- manila-gorilla0
that's how the witch killed the children, she would bring them there two at a time and tell one of them to stand in the corner while she kills the other
