DIN DIN DIN DIN DIN DIN
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Any font good enough for German to use on their Autobahn signs is surely good enough for us mortals.
Actually, my favorite font OF ALL TIME is..The font thats used on airport Taxi and Runways, on those red signs that say things like
25L35R..
When your in a plane on the runway look at the intense timeless impact and power of the white '5' on a red (#CC2222) background.
Damn, that shit just sends quivers down my spine, and I regularly get punched for getting extremely excited whenever we fly for trying to pass on my enthusiasm for typography in such situations.
God I love that font.Cant find it anywhere.
Ive even researched manufacturers of said runway furniture but to no avail.
Anyone know where I can get it before I waste 2 weeks developing it myself ?

hey, about this airport thing..
After some reasearch I think its what they call runway markers, that identify a runway in terms of its bearing, eg 35L means its aligned 35 degrees west.
They are on the taxiways and runways, usually like a big read box (say 6 geef long, 2 feet high), with these white letters and numbers on, like, as I say..
[35L28R]\
Im having trouble finding them in Google/images etc.
Anyone here a qualified pilot/graphic designer AND know what Im talking about ?
