Why don't you try Hyper Island in Sweden and do your internship in London. The education is free, challenging, and very focused. All you need ot do is learn some basic Swedish. I just started in August and I LOVE it! www.hyperisland.se

You can live with me. I have a spare room. Generally you'd wanna be looking between £80-90 for a decent place. Anything cheaper you'll be getting a piece of shit and/or in the middle of no where. Lots of jobs. As a non-EU Swiss neutral u might find it harder than most, u'll need work permit and visa etc... And London is very expensive.

seriously though, it's expensive.
If you study Full Time, expect to struggle mixing the job and course work.
If you want your own flat, you can maybe (a big maybe) find something for £600pm if you're lucky.
If you share with others (loads of places) you can expect to pay anything from £350+pm.
I've had friends from Germany and France come over here and there have been problems on the job front. People will discriminate if your English is bad, and also if you say you're a student. This applies to bar work, restaurants etc...
If you have experience in a "real" job, you'll get a much easier ride.
loot.com will give you an idea of housing costs to a given area.

Regarding what Kuz said... You can save a lot by not being snobbish about which area you live.

doesn't matter where it is. i don't need a yuppie loft.

London is really big. Like REALLY big. Bigger than most cities in Europe. Anywhere central is gonna be expensive. West London can also be expensive, but a lot of places, like Hammesmith, Shepherds Bush aren't too bad. North and East London are generalyl cheap. Take moth's advice, checkout Loot.com, and have a map of London to handy. You'll quickly figure out where the most expensive places are and get a feeling for the city. And make sure u ask someone (like me or us) if you're interested in somewhere. Wouldn't want you ending up living in a crack-den in Shadwell or something.
good luck

non EU swiss nationals do not need a work permit thanks to the bilateral employment agreement between Switzerland and the EU.
but pascii London is best as a transit stop on your way to bonnie scotland...
