What do you think of the new design at http://mtv.com ?
I personally don't like it, it may be well organised, but it just doesn't appeal to me one bit.

The rotating logo is a bit 80s and doesn't even blend in properly.I agree. I don't like it either.

whats up with the blue typo "mtv" ? The v looks like it is so much further away from the "mt".. looks wierd

Mtv.coms Design has always been a sad state. Whats wrong with their Web Dept? Looks worse than b4.

Hmm, i have been looking around even more, and i find it kinda degrading to see a company such as MTV having to put Ads on their site. But then again, it became all about the money for them about a year after their launch.

MTV has been a huge dissappointment for 23 years. They always play it safe, pandering to the teens and mass market, ignoring anyone who might just have any musical taste beyond Britney and Madonna. I just wonder why there hasn't been any real competition in all this time.
Personally, I think they have done a lot to destroy the music industry. Since MTV, all the wrong things play a larger part than musical talent. Tits and ass, choreography, slo-mo explosions and those God-awful soap operas which they can't stop shoving down our throats.
I wish them the worst possible death.

The top left logo drives me crazy. What's the deal with the colour and kerning.... is that type even apart of their logo?

didn't wwft do the design before this lovely new.......yeah, i'll leave it at that. just weird seeing the old design mixed in with the new.
i thought the previous design worked well.
i agree with most, the ads kill the site. if you click on the essentials list link, the mini site for that is pretty cool, but then next thing you know there's this goofy ass ad for glasses that takes up more then a quarter of the page. i closed the windown after that.
oh well, corporate sucks.

Yes WWFT made the previous design, when mike (WWFT) posted the link on K10K, he rated the site one and sand gave a :/ smilie.
Clear to see what he thinks about it then :)

i wish they would make a mtv classic site or something. like stream videos that were hot for each month of a particular year.
and rerun yo mtv raps and old headbangers balls, remote control and half hour comedy hours & stuff.
but they dont give a piss about us old farts.that spinning logo is the suck.
also, if i see andy dick im going to fight him.
