amazing work, brooke!

you need a good eye for this, to know what to keep and what to kill. and good Adobe illustrator skills.
nothing more for those kind of illustrations...
- slice0
I concur w/menia. also, the higher the contrast the better.
- warheros0
still, that doesnt mean that is some good work.
in any facet of design you have to have good skills, and nothing more.

nothing more except serious talent! it's not like making a piece of toast.
to make toast:
1.place toaast in toaster.
2.place toaster dial in correct position.
3.press lever down
4.wait until it pops up...throws it at menia
- menia0
yumyum...mmmm thanks I needed that :)
You know, Im an illustrator, I also do this kind of shite sometimes when clients want it, I love the results, its impressing, I love the work of people doing this kind of illustrations, there are millions of threads here for this subject...
Anyway working on something like that doesnt make me feel a better illustrator because its like making a toast. No great talent required for this and thats my opinion .
- warheros0
well stated opinion.
acknowledged.

^well coming from an illustrator that makes sense. i just don't have that talent...so nevermind :(

My goodness - hair is the best thing in the world to draw! I always start out with a big, base shape, usually a dark color, then put several chunky gradient-filled shapes on top of that. The final details that bring everything all together are in the small, simple brush strokes. Layering is key with hair! The hardest part is knowing when to stop!
PS. Thanks for the compliments, y'all.

thanks for that brooke
