My goodness - hair is the best thing in the world to draw! I always start out with a big, base shape, usually a dark color, then put several chunky gradient-filled shapes on top of that. The final details that bring everything all together are in the small, simple brush strokes. Layering is key with hair! The hardest part is knowing when to stop!
