We're considered a small company
There are only 2 other designers here!!!!
1 is with me on this as she has freelance clients out the ass and could care less about this place!
the other guy is in the same situation and is currently looking for another job
Therefore I'm not gonna get anyone fired or hurt anyone.My company will probably pay a fine and move on. But they'll always remember it!!

If they really screwed you up, go the "Fight Club" or "American Beauty" way and force them to give you a pension if you have the balls to do so. Reporting them would be just as pathetic as shitting on their doormat at night. Oe time I was in just the same kind of situation, a company I'd quit owed me money. I was thinking of BSA too and now I'm glad I didn't make this call. The company eventually paid me, but they went down anyway. And one more thing: it's not a movie, just go on with your life. We have a saying that translates to English sort of like "don't touch the shit, cause it's gonna stink more"

I agree w/ Mimio, this co. sounds like they are ripping everyone off. Why not make a call to your boos AFTER you quit, and threaten the software issue?
Or better yet, have someone call who is pretending to be an auditor of software for small businesses.
Then he'll crap his pants and go buy it. You don't have to snitch, and the software is legal. Everyone wins.

And I have listened to everyone. No one has offered a good reason not to do this.

Its not "superstitious crap" - what you are proposing is a negative act - if you are arguing that its right to pay for software then tell your boss to pay for it before you grass him.
If it's revenge you want and it backfires - that is your negativity/karma hitting you back.
if you get away with it and your boss suffers, what will you do to the next person who pisses you off? up the ante?

students and people first starting out and stealing software is one thing. but you stop at a certain level. companies like yours are why i have to pay a zillion dollars for software now. fuk dat. id rat them out right now if i knew who you worked for.
