first of all, if we follow your logic, who are WE to police the world? and if we ARE policing the world why do we then act like hypocrits and fund/support vicious oppressive regimes in some cases, and rail against others? why would we support the hussein regime in the mid eighties knowing that he was oppressive?
why are we even in iraq having to fight the population that we are "liberating"? how did they seem to get along before with all those weapons and guns?
why would we supply free weapons to countries like Turkey and Israel when they use them to brutalize whole populations of innocent civilian? both of those countries have more UN resolutions against them than Iraq... collective punishment is a straight up war crime and it leads to more violence.

the story you are buying it's all a big lie. our govenrment iis run by money. is there anyone here that disagrees that money buys votes? that money buys airtime that money buys a voice?
if you really want to know what's going on, read this article... surprisingly, is makes a good case for war... if you are an imperialist.

if i was called to duty, whether i believe in the Iraq war or Not, I would be honored to serve my country and protect freedom and the future for my children (sound clique but thats how i feel)

i'd either avoid it 'cause i'm selfish, or go so i can see what it feels like to legally kill someone.

I would study the background behind the war or proposed war, and determine as best I could what the actual cause / reason is... If my property, friends or my livelihood were at stake, I would defend against attack.

" The Rep. in front means "Representative", not Republican. They're all a bunch of damn liberals.

(jun 4 04, 17:24)"Really? Let’s go down the list to see which are Republicans.
http://congress.org/congressorg/…
Aderholt, Robert B. Republican-Alabama
Burr, Richard Republican-North Carolina
Green, Mark Republican-Wisconsin
Hoekstra, Peter Republican-Michigan
Musgrave, Marilyn N. Republican-Colorado
Ramstad, Jim Republican-Minnesota
Souder, Mark E. Republican-Indiana
Turner, Michael R. Republican-Ohio
Boehner, John A. Republican-Ohio
DeLay, Tom Republican-Texas
Gutknecht, Gil Republican-Minnesota
Hostettler, John N. Republican-Indiana
Pickering, Charles W. Republican-Mississippi
Shimkus, John Republican-Illinois
Tancredo, Thomas G. Republican-Colorado
Every single one is a Republican johndiggity. By the way one name should stand out the most for you. That would be Tom Delay. House Majority Leader.
Apology accepted.

johndiggity you are right in a sense about S. 89 and H.R. 163. Both bills were introduced by Democrats but were both Sponsored and Cosponsored by 15 Republicans.
It really goes to show that no matter who wins, there will be a draft.

good, c y'all later.

When you click to the co-sponsors, it lists them from HR 516, an educational bill, not S 89, the draft bill. In other words the cosponsor link on the site links to the wrong bill. You can see all the co sponsors at the links from congress.gov that I already provided.

ok. I'm an asshole. you're right. I am wrong. They're all Dems.
Thanks for excepting my apology ahead of time.

"President George W. Bush’s increasingly erratic behavior and wide mood swings has the halls of the West Wing buzzing lately as aides privately express growing concern over their leader’s state of mind. "

Hey me2, I always count on truth in journalism from news sources with taglines that read, "Because nobody's life, liberty, or property is safe when congress is in session."
Puh-lease. Might as well be the onion.

Nay, I don't wanna die so Bush and Cheney can get rich off of Saddams oil. Chickenhawks suck ass, where were they in Vietnam? Cheney had "other priorities" and Bush just bailed with some help from daddy. Fuck their war in Iraq, bring the soldiers home and let them fight the real terrorists who are already here and poised to strike again.
- kbags0
Totally, F-18. But in truth, I could shit better wisdom from my ass after drinking two gallons of prune juice.
Check your facts, amigo, you're spoutin nonsense.
