a friend of mine is an army JAG, and the re-enlistment numbers are huge.
dunno what that means...just thought i'd share.

(jun 4 04, 14:15)there are people called 'lifers' who blindly join for the love of their country, or the free pass to shoot people for a living. your term only lasts 4 years, then you can either re-enlinst or not.

aka.. you could be 35 and still get drafted.. there was talk of 35 acctually for iraq thing..... so dont get to lax

Donvitoviti: You're right they can, but considering we have 2 million army and reserve, plus the probably 20 million 18-23, it seems a little much to raise the limit, but sure they can.
I mean, hey, they can bomb the shit out of whatever and kill whoever without batting an eye.

I wouldn't give a sh*t if they institute it though. It doesn't mean that you would be necessarily sent into a war, just that you would need to serve some time. It would definitely ship shape a lot of fat Americans I tell you that much. Take a little of what our fathers and their father went through.
