Any of you is practicing yoga on a regular basis?
I'm taking a course right now and I found out that I was totally wasting my time and money.
I don't get any effect from this technique of relaxation. I could watch TV for hours and get same effect. Does it come with time and a lot of practicing?
Any yoga master in here?

i went to indian summer camp where we were woken up at 5:00am to do yoga in a dirt field as the sun rose. hated it.
once, the yoga master (80 yrs old) challenged me to a race. I asked "from where to where"? He said, "Just run around this field. First one to drop out loses." Me, being the cocky cross-country runner obliged. Of course, he beat me.

It's like any other meditation, exercise, or personal routine. If you dig it, do it on a regulsar basis, then you feel better mentally and physically. I'm not sure yoga is better than say- Working out, Kung Fu, meditating, walking, etc... Its just the regularity and frequency and dedication that end up making one feel good. I myself prefer to lift weights, bike ride, snowboard

Yeah, that is what I think to Soler.
Sex could do the same joob too.
And my yoga teacher is not the most beautiful thing I have ever seen...
She sometimes wear leopard stuff...

it works for me, everyone has their own way of relaxing
it could also be that that the teacher isn't good, or the style of yoga doesn't suit you.
- TheTaco0
Yeah, maybe I would like Power Yoga...
All exercice are related with force and streching instead of streching only.

def. some people feel like they need to be super active otherwise they get antsy and that will defeat the purpose of the more chilled yoga-can't remember the name i do but it's combo of meditative and poses
i'm the type of person who can happily sit still doing nothing.
but if that doesn't suit weights or
jogging would be better.
i do all of those. i like to mix it up
