i was pretty close to being put on Pacxil. Fortunately, i've been finding ways of dealing with my anxiety and i don't have attacks as often as i did about a year ago at this time.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and stories.
BTW I know that wouldn't help. Just the opposite for me actually.
I used to think it was fun though.I wouldn't want to have to give up cervezas. That would suck.
Mal, you're right thats similar to something I read that helped a lot. Mainly that nothing is really going to happen to you and that your fear of it actually fuels it. It got really intense when I thought it was my heart. I'll remember what you said.
Nessdog thanks for the links.
driftlab, right on about Matthew Chapter 6.

Also on the fact the we have our priorities backwards and ignore mental, physical and spiritual health.I am actually finally starting to exercise and care about what I eat for the first time in a long time.

i've experience a couple panic attacks i think...heart racing, wandering if my heart is going to hit the ceiling, sweaty, anxious, just all around not feeling so good....
i think mine have been brought on by a kind of clausterphobia ( that's prolly spelled very wrong )
either way, what has helped me is doing exactly this - just talking to other people who have had it , or have it all the time, or whatever
truth is, like others have said here, it is surprising how many people experience this sort of thing......
i found some bit of solice in knowing that i wasn't a freak for getting the attack and that i was the one bringing it on, and thus i was able to control it and / or stop it...
Mals suggestions have been good...just remember it will always pass, and immediate exercise can sometimes be a quick fix
good luck! keep us posted with your progress of beating it!

i used to have these weird attacks as i was falling asleep - it felt like i was having a stroke or something - told my doc, got a dose of xanax, and have never had one since, or taken xanax again. Hurrah!
