XBox waaaay better. Why you ask?

Processor is insanely faster. While PS2ers are waiting for their game levels to load, we''re off blasting bad guys.

Graphics card way better. Outputs in High Defenition...hello?!? Are you kidding me. Too sick. If you ever get an HD TV, which I got, the HD optimized games are insane

Faster frame rates: courtesy of the better processor.

Hard DRIVE: No more friggen memory cards, which suck. Everyhting is magically stored and found in this 20th century wonder (5GB)--so you're never looking for which card your max payne levels are on.

AND the controller. Modelled after the dreamcastt controller, but w/ 2 analogue sticks, this one is the best ever--non of those dopey index finger buttons--real TRIGGERS--oh so satisfying for driving games where you need analogue gas and brake controls. Way more ergonomically designed.

But honestly, on the memory cards alone, I was sold. I HATE those things.

BTW, for the "halo's the only good xbox only game" crowd:

Crimson Skies is the other absolutely insane xbox only game.

Mech assault is pretty insane to.

I don;t need 40 games anyhoo. Just gimme 10 or so great ones and I'm saving mad money.

Ps2 waaaay better. Why you ask?

Processor is insanely faster. While Xbox ers are waiting for their game levels to load, we''re off blasting bad guys.

Graphics card way better. Outputs in High Defenition...hello?!? Are you kidding me. Too sick. If you ever get an HD TV, which I got, the HD optimized games are insane

Faster frame rates: courtesy of the better processor.

Expandable memory: No more friggen limited memory, which suck. Everyhting is magically stored and found in this 20th century wonder memory cards--so you can expand the memory if you run out of space to store your max payne levels.

AND the controller. Modelled after the PS1 controller, this one is the best ever--remember ps1 change the way we play videogames at home. Oh so satisfying for driving games where you need analogue gas and brake controls. Unlike the xbox controllers this are ergonomically designed.

But honestly, Free on line play, I was sold. I HATE to give money to MS.

    :)

Questions is, do you want good games or good graphics?

ZELDA: WIND WAKER is by far one of the best games ever made. You can go on a ship and fish out spaghetti bowls out of the water with a crane!

    ### Be more objective, folks. I got both systems and am not biased to either.

Processor is insanely faster. While Xbox ers are waiting for their game levels to load, we''re off blasting bad guys.
    ### Depends on the game developers really. Some games take longer to load on the XBox and some take longer on the PS2. Don't blame bad programming/planning on the hardware.

    Graphics card way better.
    ### XBox has a better card.

If you ever get an HD TV, which I got, the HD optimized games are insane
    ### XBox has HD cables also. http://www.xbox.com/zh-SG/hardwa…

Faster frame rates: courtesy of the better processor.
    ### XBox has better processors. I can't say about the frame rates, but I've seen more jerking in PS2 games (usually the war orgy kinda scenes) than in XBox games.

Expandable memory: No more friggen limited memory, which suck. Everyhting is magically stored and found in this 20th century wonder memory cards--so you can expand the memory if you run out of space to store your max payne levels.
    ### Hello... XBox doesn't need a mem card unless you are transferring your saved games. Show me how you use up 8GB in saved games.

AND the controller. Oh so satisfying for driving games where you need analogue gas and brake controls.
    ### You oughta buy a wheel for that one. Admittedly PS has better designed controllers (which others are trying to emulate)

But honestly, Free on line play, I was sold.
    ### Online play not available for most regions... XBox has done a better job of linking the world.

I HATE to give money to MS.
    ### Same here. I got my XBox for free.

I think at the end of the day, these two systems have their pros and cons. Ultimately, it boils down to the software, rather than the hardware. PS2 is a well rooted player in mature, developed companies (particularly Japanese companies like squaresoft, who isn't gonna switch boats), and XBox's got it's own sphere of influence.

PS2 has a lot more titles (and a lot more good titles) than the XBox.

One plus point about the XBox is that it is easily modable (killing your XBox Live connection). You can even junk your entire game into the HDD without using the disc. Retro games can be played as well, and you can even hook it up to your PC, change the 8GB HDD to up to 127GB etc etc.

It's also got 4-controller ports, but for the PS you'd need to invest in a multi-tap (which doesn't cost much, really).

Anyway, now for some biased opinion, form factor for the PS2 sucks. I prefer the older logo. PS3 is looking real good though, but the coolest console to date for myself has to be the Phantom.

as an owner of both a PS2 and an Xbox, i would have to really sit down and think in order to make a descion on which one is better... Xbox is noisier, better visuals, faster system etc...

But the PS2 on the other hand is cheaper, has more games and you dont need to shell out more money for extas such as a DVD remote... you will need to empty your pockets for a Memory card however...

    I can't make the desicion
