I brought my own headphones and listen to my own tracks as music sets my mood and I don't even plan to listen to somebody else's to loose the track.

Its pretty cool in my office, any CDs that are brought in are played but theres a few that only get one listen.
No one can stand my Super Furry Animals CD's, the creative Director isnt allowed to put on The Thrills, one is allowed to put on Gomez if the other creative director is around and I fucking hate the bosses jazz CD's.
Jazz. I fucking hate Jazz. As Otis Lee Crenshaw said "Jazz is when you push a blues quartet down a flight of stairs."
Oh and this morning the Christmas CD went on for about 10 mins before anyone copped on.

Music with speakers was banned in our office about 2 months ago after much arguing. It wasnt a democratic decision.
There are 5 designers/developers in a small space.
Now we all use headphones from time to time when the silence gets too depressing.
Since the ban the quality of work has definately improved with higher levels of concentration, but there is less laughter, less smiling, less banter and I'm interested to see the long term effects on our work with the fall in moral.

Its me ! Except Im going to come into the office with a HUGE Brixton briefcase and breakdance really badly in the middle of the office for hours until everyone runs away.
