i'm one of those anti social hedphone wearers and i don't like it how the studio is so atmosphereless but the radio that the programmers listen to makes me irate. i start shouting at the presenters. and the programmers drum with their feet out of time really loudly. and the cd player skips. and no one likes hiphop or soul, they only like rock or trance or marilyn manson! god i'm a whinger!

I shouted at a freelancer here once cos he kept whislting, out of time and out of tune...to the fucking smiths...who I actually really happen to like...
we asked him back the next day and he said he didn't want to because I scared him.

beleive me Ive worked in places where people just wear headphone and bop around in their chair. DULL.
at least if I play music people dont like you get 'kezza you twat turn it off' and then there is a bit of banter, I tell them to fuck themselves, and we all have a laugh.
there is a guy I sit next to cant get enough of crap 80's music, put that on, the whole office sings along.
as a note, no one has left here in 2 years, its a great atmosphere to work in, we play football in the office and listen to music

the drumming thing winds me up so much but i would sound like such a killjoy asking them to stop. all this unhealthy tension is building up inside and one day i just snap and shout WILL YOU FUCKING LEARN TO KEEP TIME YOU BASTARDS?! and everyone will wonder where the hell that came from.... yes, better to keep the headphones on!

I like your site, I've kind of got a mobster history type thing, my great uncle or something to that effect, jumped ship in New York and wound up being a driver for "legs diamond"
Apparantley that is the gospel truth, but sadly my great uncle James died years ago so I don't know the full story or can't confirm it's truth, interesteing eh!

sometimes i put headphones on with no music just so people wont bother me, but then people think your sneeky when you join in on a conversation when your supposed to be listening to music.

shared music collection is the answer, not too loud and not too annoying.
No radio, unless it's KCRW streaming in.
I am sick of wearing headphones here all day, leave my ears sore and ruins my hair . . .
