We have a no music policy in our studio.
But not so long back our boss gave us this patronising motivational talk about keeping ideas books and culture and all that shite. He also sighted music as a good source for inspiration in times of need.
I have always brought in my headphones and CD's but been a bit stealthy about my use of them, but after his shower of shite talk in which he promoted music I let my guard down and made it blatant that I was enjoying the tunes and I got a royal bollocking, the price you pay for working for twats!!

I'm part of an in-house design studio for a big corporate company, so it is not the most relaxed of creative environments, although we are a in-house we get alot of work from outside clients but mainly look after all corporate communication our boss is of Marketing/advertising background (in other words wears specs he doesn't need) and in reading this back me thinks I need a new job.!
