one is my flatmate, he is a junior trader in the city, one set up his own company (doing ok), one took over his dads company is minted, one manages golfers for a sports management agency, one is a barrister, and one plays for england at rugby union, and is playing the in the world cup as we speak.
they pay for the drinks when we go out. sob.

Driftlab aka Scott Cook was/is my best friend from back in the day. We still are in regular contact.
In fact we worked together for almost two years until he left to work for Wiretree a couple of months ago.
I also married one of my other buddy's sister.

I think that's kind of cool, Moto, that you're bestfriend plays hockey at York, since that's the place where I study.
Anyways, no one beats Pete. The only interesting story I have is that my ex best friend now gets paid to use Coke.

just went on a 6 week road trip with one... to meet up with a couple others...

Went to nursery school (kindergarten) with this guy, then primary school, thne we both moved away from that village and never saw each other til university again AND only then by a coincidental discussion about They Might Be Giants, shared a flat with him and another two guys, best friends still today
What happened to him? - He got bigger and hairier and now drives a black Citroen DS

definetely the most depressing posting I have ever seen on NT...however, all my friends are now married with children and working as lawyers and live their lifes with no highs.. guess it makes me on the average NT standards...

One of my friends did a doctorate in Aeronautical engineering, and now works for the US Ministry of Defence. We don't know exactly where he is, or what he's doing, just that he's somewhere underneath Texas. Not bad for a small town boy from middle england

a worryingly high number of them got into smack unfortunately. One of them last time I heard was in jail for robbing a prostitute at knife point - wtf? She used to be quite chilled. Another got into it then managed to get out, married her rehab councillor and became a hippy. My first bf I haven't heard from since he nicked everything off his housemates and disappeared. Also due to smack. They weren't so seedy when I was hangin out with them, honest!
At the other end, some are doing really well in a band in Aus, so it's not all depressing.
