to your best friend(s) from school?
my best friend made a degree in electronics, then he made business school. and everyone said he will have a swimming pool when he's 30.
but since almost 5 years now he plays the bagpipe in a medieval musicgroup, lives in a 3*3 m flat and has grown an enormous beard and long hair. his job is now to put illegally posters on the wall (on rollerblades) and he smokes the pipe every now and then.
i see him more often since then ; )

Works at a sod farm. has baby, gets up at six to shovel fertilizer.

Valedictorian of my H.S. (also voted most likely to succeed, AND the Minister's son) got busted 4 years later for selling acid in the parking lot of a Dead concert. I think they actually put him away for a while.

I have no idea. Except for my closest firends: we all ended up in the big city. Studying, working a little. Nothing fantastic - just getting older.

i got one cop friend, two married friends, one ex-millionaire (he had like 20 million bucks before the dotcom crash) who drives a cab now, another guy is in jail for tax fraud, and one got murdered last year

my best friend (recently best man) from high school hit the big time!
we skated, surfed and hit the bong together all the time - he was really laid back but directionless - while I was going thru college he dropped in and out of different ones..
Then about 5 years ago he starts working for Mitsubishi Trust in London - trading bonds of all things.
Now the ass is VP of the Asia Office in Singapore and pulling in several hundred thousand dollars, living in a 6 bedroom house with a 100 metre pool.
where did i go wrong?

most of them are dead, or the wheels of their lives came off and they're smoking pot in their parents basement (and they're ten years older then anyone here) or they're now cops or firemen in the town we grew up in, which was obviously pretty tuff. or in the pallet mafia (NOT kidding).
seriously four of my friends (NOT people I knew - my GOOD friends) shot themselves. My idol, best pal mentor, shot his wife and then himself in front of the 3 kids. My best friend from high school shot himself over some underage slut. My pal at work shot himself in the passenger seat while his fiancŽe was driving, they where having an argument over who should drive - he was drunk. The other guy was my friend from little league, shot himself a week out of rehab, because of a girl.
