Though, one of my better friends, on our grad night totalled a rental car that wasn't insured in his name (his cousin rented it for him, because he had no license. and also, this wasn't speeding or drinking, i think he was just fatigued). and then maybe half a year later knocked up a fat girl (who was a friend of his). I really would like to know whats up with him because he was one of the realer people I knew. Last thing i heard he was working as a bouncer and at a gas station, and maybe trying to start up his own clothing business or something. Regardless, he still has a bunch of my CDs. Anyway he was cool, and even though we didn't chill too much he was a better friend than some of my "friends" .

funny thread. as it is allerheiligen here today i went to the small town i am from to greet the ancestors and passed away friends. i bumped into ken, used to be my all time buddy, he looked ten years older. married divorced two kids who he's not allowed to see, he works as a mecanic and has to give all away to the mother. sad story.
other mates, same story as in previous post. in their parents basement smoking pot. i run into them once a year at summerfestivals, awfull whats happened to them.
other friend bert, who used to be fucked over by other kids but i kinda liked him because he had balls. in jail because of xtc and coke dealing. i guess that was far the only thing that must him made popular a couple of years ago.

man some of these postings are depressing. My life seems pretty boring compared to half of this. My best friend plays hockey for York university, my other buddy puts up tents at a party rental place but alot of my friends are in the trades ie brick layers, roofers etc. For my self im finishing off 3rd year post grad in digital media.

this is one depressing thread.
my buddys are all the same and seem to have molded even more so into the characters that they were in high school. all still cool people, tho I only see a handfull of them anymore.
no guns (not really a problem here in Melbourne), no divorce, no success, no desperate jobs. tho am still young i guess.

A hot girlfirend I had in highschool now work at a liquor store. A good friend of mine, used to be a big shot in school now drives a taxi. My best friend growing up is now a manager at a pizza hot. Another one lost an eye in a car accident and got 200K from the insurance company. This girl I knew from highschool is a stripper. Damn, Im the only one that ended up doing what I wanted back then. pretty sad.

lotta people I know seem to have continued on in their boring lives - just attempting to get boring ass jobs and save up for houses or some shit.
most are pretty cool when i run into them but glad I never got stuck hangin around them for the rest of my life...

my best mate at school was brought up in nigeria, his mum was black his dad was white. he was always cool and very funny then we didn't see much of each other after we finished school. i saw him about 4 years after i left school. we shared the same birthday and it was a mad coincidence cos it was 2am the morning of our 21st. he totally blanked me. i learned later that he doesn't talk to white people these days :-(
now he sells t-shits at gigs.

i didn't know the cliche of the bigshots in highschool turning into losers afterwards etc was true.. all the smart people i knew in HS are in university right now, and the rest are just doing regular shit, except me.
