A few months ago, I told my boss that I would take the first week of August off. It would be my vacation time. Last week, I told her I wasn't so sure anymore, and that I may just take off a few days here and there instead of taking that week (next week) off. Yesterday, my parents (who always change their plans at the last minute) decided that they do want to take the whole week off to go to Toronto (we have to get some things done there).
I'm a bit worried about telling my boss this. Not only because it appears like I'm always changing my mind, but also because I won't get paid for that week off. And I have a contract to work until the end of August. I hope that my school schedule this September allows me to work here at least once a week.
My boss is conducting an interview right now. After that I must speak to her about my vacation time. I hope the interviewee puts her in a good mood.

I sat drinking delicious coffee in the bookstore cafe for 2hrs this morning. I wouldn't have stayed so long but it was thundering & hammering down with rain, and i only had jeans, tshirt and sandals on (was overcast and humid when i left the house). It was nice watching all the wet people go by.... then i went to this little camera shop and drooled over lenses, and when i came out i shared a little glance and smile with a cute blonde in the shop across the alley. I might go back later in the week... she won't get out of my head.

My boss is in a good mood and is totally fine with my vacation time. Apparently everyone else is taking lots of time off anyway, and I'll be the only one in the office this Friday and for some other days in August. Then we talked about our hair (colouring, shampoo), and where I bought my pants (she liked them).
I know how to get to these bosses....
