if a auto worker works late they get paid for it...
if a salesman works late...well they get paid on commission, so theydont get paid for it...

what country are you from? if you get paid hourly, usually you'll get overtime pay. If you're on salary... you don't. Read your contract before you sign and quit moaning.

just got through chatting with a friend at DNA, she was saying towardthesky is bitter because his work wasn't on par with some of the other cats so he got stuck with a bunch of production work. Imagine that... she also said that the peeps at DNA jam night and day and the the designers that are passionate about their work love it, and the people that look at design as a 9 to 5 hate it and end up leaving.
how's that for a well-rounded view... :P

Chandler is a top-notch designer in this industry, and anyone who passes shite info on this thread about him should answer to chandler.
The way we work at DNA isn't for everyone, period. It is the crew, the diversity of projects that keeps us rocking till the morning hours. We do what we love to do, whether that fits into an 8 hour day or an 18 hour day.
Back to chandler for a minute, we are all very diverse people with different personal goals for the future. Chandler is a brilliant talent, and his decision to leave should not completley reflect our turnover rate. I'll repeat it agin, the way we work and the schedules we keep are NOT FOR EVERYONE. It's down and dirty, fast paced, fly by the seat of your pants, slam jam and do it again design. We have a fantastic roster of clients, we have a good amount of freedom in our design decisions, and shit man, this is one of the best crews Ive ever worked with.
