yoyoyo .. microphone check! .. one/two .. one/two .. this thing on? ah yeah .. there we go ..
just wanted to respond publicly to nova's little post up there. i already responded directly to him/her/it, whatever... yahoo e-mail address?
and thank you peter reid for your kind words. you are a lovely human being and a superbly talented individual as well.
i put this post up here for whoever wanted to write and get an honest opinion of my experience with dna, could do so. good, bad, ugly, everything. places aren't perfect, people aren't perfect, but i certainly would like to know a little about a place before i moved my entire life somewhere to work. and thats what i've done .. share that experience with others so they can make a little more informed decision.
mr. reid is right. it ain't for everyone. but its not all bad either. it just depends on what you want in the end. and if you're still curious, please write, hopefully i can shed some light on the place for you.
as for mr., mrs, ms. nova, the only person who sounds bitter is you. spewing forth rumors and hearsay, not even knowing the person you're talking about? WEAK! thats typical of these threads i guess .. but you're only making yourself look silly by being like that.
and to whoever your "friend" at dna is .. you want to write me or call me, so i can tell you why i left, instead of you spreading a bunch of dumb rumors?
thats what i thought .. haha
_______________________thank you, thank you (bowing) .. i think this is the longest i've ever looked at this site .. and this is probably one of the longest posts in its history. woo!

The fact is that employers should respect your contribution. Whether or not you work for high profile clients, you make amazing creative work or not. You should be compinsated fairly. Many companies take advantage of their employees, and it's not as simple as just quiting and going somewhere else - because it's a prevailing attitude in our industry.
Working overtime is fine, and not getting paid for it isn't the end of the world either. You should however be making a fair salary and know what your expectations are before you sign a contract.
