Is anyone else finding that this becomes more and more incredible with each listen?
I can't decide which song to listen to over and over:
The New Year
Transatlanticism
Passenger Seat
We Looked Like Giants
A Lack of Colordon't know why I didn't get it when it came out, I've really liked them for several years.
Production on this is incredible.

heh heh. That's so funny because I keep hitting repeat on The New Year for , oh dunno, like 3 weeks now...My iPOD is going to have The New Year burned on the screen pretty soon. It's also a great song to sing when you're wasted. I missed that show at Metro last week. Did you go?

no, I wanted to though.
Going to see Turin Brakes tomorrow night at Martyrs, that album Ether Song is still my favorite album of this year.Hey, I asked in the Cubs thread what kind of music your band plays/do you have a site w/songs?

I saw Death Cab... when they were in Sydney, supporting 'Something For Kate.' They played 'The New Year' really well live.
Have a look at

Ben GIbbard went to my high school!!!!
but anyway, it's ok
I just really miss the creepy/beautiful sadness of their older stuff.A lot of this is just big fat guitar arena rock.

I saw them several days ago, and the song Transatlanticism is incredible live. I've probably listened to that album 100 times this week.

In case you didn't know how they picked their name, they took it from the name of the song that Legs Larry Smith of the Bonzo Dog Band performed during the stripper sequence from the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour movie.

I have not heard much Death Cab, but I love The Postal Service, you dig em?

Transatlanticism is amazing. The Postal Service stuff is even better imo. It's done with the guy behind Dntel who also is with Figurine. Which are both just as good.
If that doesn't make any sense I'm sorry, it's a bit early.

Can't get into the Postal Service, although I've only heard one song that was on a sample cd.
Just don't like his voice with the electronic sounds. But I do like his voice alot on Death Cab stuff. The song Lowell, MA is by far my favorite song of theirs.

DFCF is coming here to Nashville in about a week and a half. They're playing at Exit/In. I'm looking forward to seeing them quite a lot.
I could have seen them in Seattle a few years ago but I didn't even know who they were at the time. Oh well.
Postal Service? Ehhh...I don't like it. The music is cool and the vocals are cool but as someone else mentioned, I just can't enjoy the two of them mixed.
