iTunes is good if you have an ipod. winamp is all you need if all you want to do is play mp3's. I think their targeting windows ipod users for now. It has its good points.

question - i didnt select import mp3 's when i first installed itunes, looked at it decided to give it a go, and cant figure how to get everything in now, i even uninstalled and reinstalled and no option . i dont wanna do it by folder by folder, any suggestions ?

mrming - your CD might have some sort of copy-protection on it. Some of those DMCA CDs have WMAs on them which would explain it working in WMP but not iTunes.
sneeth - you can drag your whole MP3 folder into the list window in iTunes or the library 'button' on the left and it will import all of your files.
It might take a little bit if you have a lot - but it'll work.
Also, besure to set your main MP3 folder as your 'music' folder in the prefs so it can organize them all nicely when you rip new stuff.

i got a qvestion and im far too lazy (read: busy) to search for an answer..
I updated some id3's outside of itunes and now itunes shows the old song info... is there any way to have it go out and re-grab the correct id3s?

a nice touch i noticed is when you are playing music and you lock your workstation, it automatically pauses the song.
btw, i dont have the "always on top". i can put it behind programs.
ps, double clicking the title bar centers the window. i think thats a mac thing.

where does iTunes go to find the id3 tag info? is it a proprietary Apple database?

Sneeth
you can just drag the folder containing all the folders of songs right into the library

Nice app, using 25MB at the moment. Uninstalled Acoustica and CD-Ex as a result of installing it.
It altered my MP3 drive folder setup but I don't mind. Biggest gripe, how do I get it full screen ?
Also anyone know when the Music Store will be available to UK customers

no full screen...

Does the PC version have the dancing lights?
