I have a good feeling about Chicago tonight, but fuck if Florida wins, that's a mighty-ass comeback from a team that wasn't supposed to be there even more so than the Cubs. It's hard not to also root for 'The Fightin' Fish'. But I say go NL Central.

didn't go to work today, and his cube at work is filled with garbage

so what you're saying is it's probably bullshit gossip then.... if i were this guy i would do every interview i could and charge a few grand an interview... he might as well make a few dollars if he's gonna get blamed for the cubs letting 8 runs score in one inning. I'm one of the biggest cubs fans there is and I say this guy has been punished enough.

I just had this image of him throwing balls of fire or nails, like something in LOTR.
Wood just roaring at each batter after a strikeout like one of those ugly beasts in LOTR.Serious, like black clouds in Ghostbusters moving in over Wrigley, wind everywhere but on the mound perfectly still, Wood in total control and Marlin batters trembling in fear.

I freaking hate the Cubs. I use to live down the street from their spring training home in Mesa and I use to go to watch their practices.
I hated seeing all of these old people from Chicago cheering on their every move.
Sure I think Prior in going to dominate national league batters for the next 10+ years. But he should play for the Yankees and gets some rings.
