God. As a die-hard Cubs fan I am used to this team "blowing up" when it counts the most. Now with 3 games left in the season and they are tied for first with the Astros, I can't take it. Even if they just won their division, I would be happy.
We haven't won a World Series since 1908. C'mon. Somebody up there cut us a break.
Anyone us feel my pain as a Cubs fan?

i feel you man... been a cubs fan since i was old enough to know what baseball was. i too would be happy with the division but would love to see them make it to the big game

I am from Pittsburgh and I am rooting for the Pirates, I have to admit that I would like to see Chicago win it over the Houston Astros, but I have to stay true to my team. I know of your sorrows though, it's been too long for you guys. So, let say I am hoping to win 2 of 3 from you at Wrigley and then have the Astros lose all of their games so you make it by a half game or some shit. :)

BTW, you rapped us of players, starting for you are Aramis Ramirez, Kenny Lofton and now Randall 'fat-ass' Simon. How's it feel to be the Evil Empire. Muha haha aahaa ;) It would be justice served cold if we were to beat you and take you out the running especially since you took those guys from us. ;)

well the more ironic part is that you used 3 of our former players to beat us heh ee :) but anyway good luck, I hate Bonds, Giants took him from us too. Evil Empire must die! I am the rebel alliance of baseball, but I feel for you Cubbie fans that's for sure! :)

I live in Chicago, not that i want to get too far ahead of ourselves and jinx everything, but if we have the world series here this town is going to be absolutely insane. Especially because where Wrigley Field is located, there are what, 3 dozen bars in a 5 block radius? :D
My girlfriend's company has season tickets, we went to the Cubs/Sox game back in May, my first time at Wrigley.
But they won't have tickets for them to sign up for for the playoffs. :(

Even though they lost Game 2 (Damn my awful jinx of everytime I see the Cubs play in person they lose) I was stoked. These were my seats at Turner Field on Wednesday night:

It has been a great series so far. One thing I did notice Wed. night was that it took the Cubs and their fans coming to town to finally get Atlanta fans off their asses. At one point the whole stadium was cheering Let's Go Braves/Cubs. You could hear almost a 50/50 split of yelling for each team.
I am glad to see it. Being a longtime ATL resident, I like the Braves as well. It is just a shame that making the playoffs isn't that big a deal to us anymore.

everybody knows that the cubs have the best fans in baseball.... packed stadiums every summer and they haven't won shit in like 90 years.

one question... why are 99.9% of pitchers big fat asses???? It was never like that when i was a kid! There were a couple of pitchers that had a good gut, but no where near the ratio you see now... they'd never make it if they had to play outfield or something.
