One thing you're forgetting. The gods laff when they hear prayers for a Sox v. Cubs WS.
I tried to be sensible and picked A's v. Giants. Cubs have good enuff starters to win a short series, but may not be good enuff for a best of 7, espesh v. the Giants or Marlins. (btw. that series is pretty good). As a die hard Met fan, I have no rooting interest - as long as a NL team that's NOT the Braves win (I knew the Mets recent run was done the minute they traded Alfonso - who could be headed for the Hall), I do not waiver - as long the Yankees and all their bandwagon frontrunning poor little new to the city rich kid fans do not advance I'll be happy. Note to Red Sox fan - you're kidding, right?

peteski... this series is seeing alot of upsets... i wouldn't go making any big predictions. nobody thought the cubs would take a game in atlanta.. but they did, then prior pitched a two-hitter last night at wrigley. i think this series is turning out to be the most interesting one in a long time.

no kidding. Giants are out - tuned in just in time for the 9th inning. What an ending.

bye-bye BB and the San Francisco Giants. What a blown series for you. You Cubbies might have all the stars aligned correctly this year. Hmmmm, if you can get by the Braves, I think you can get by the Marlins. Although, you both have absolutely no experience at that level, so it's a toss-up and I'm glad for either of you. Nobody gave the small-market Marlins a chance either.

My prediction is Cubs vs Oakland

Oakland has got Boston by the ballz, 2-0, big trouble Boston fans. 'Curse of the Bambino' lives.... (x_o) It might be an all Mid-Westerner WS. Twinbills vs. the Cubbies. I'm not so sure how well you would fair in a dome though?

BTW, I root for NL and small-market teams. No band-wagon BS crappola here. I don't mind the Cubs, they are sorta' like small-market team in a big-market city.

'oooops' as in, not so fast, Braves won yesterday kinda' thing he hehee :) Hey you got your second best Wood against their second best, Hampton. Let's see what happens, you better hope for runs though, I was worried about the Braves in Wrigley. Too man big sticks in the windy city can equal trouble.

cubs up 2-0 in the bottom of the second

hah haa, well Boston might overcome that 'Curse Type' shit too. Hey you bastards better thank the Pirates again, I saw Lofton make a sweet catch and Ramirez hit one DEEEEEEEEEP to centerfield. Outta here! Hey, but don't take the Marlins for granted, they aren't bad at all. Lowell, Pudge, Pierre, Lee and Castillo, make for a powerful lineup. :)

I would love to see a BoSox / Cubs World Series. A true sign of the Apocalypse.
We got robbed with that Lofton catch. Could/Should have been a possible triple play. Oh well. Still won. But that is the type of stuff that can come back to haunt you later in a game. I guess I am used to it with the Cubs.

I agree, I really wouldn't mind seeing a Boston/ChiCubs series. Those two have suffered enough. Of course there are St. Louis and NY people out there that might think otherwise. Lofton got completely F'ing robbed on that catch. Didn't matter, it's over. Goodnight sweet Braves. One World Series in freakin' 13 divisional titles, that's worse than the Buffalo Bills.

yeah... red sox vs. cubs would be the make the most interesting series in a long time... two curses gone with one series!

holy crap... my last post didn't make any sense! Damn Monday mornings... I meant to say,
yeah... the red sox vs. the cubs would make the most interesting series anyone has seen in a long long time... two curses with one series, gone.
