mrboblina - I don't get it, what are you trying to say?

PC Mag had a brief article this month about 'activity' being noticed by a security firm in Ga. They didn't know what it was, just that it looked like a coordianted attack forming, unlike anything they've seen before.
It's possible, and almost likely if they are investigating the virus, that those are the same thing.
That's really terrifying. No power could hurt our economy worse than a bomb, not to mention kill thousands over time.
God, I hope it's just a short circuit and it's up soon!

Anyone see The Recruit?
They talked in there about a virus that could be spread through electrical circuits. I know it was a movie and all, but like most movies with an even slightly apocalyptic aspect, it makes you stop and think...

the first thing the post questions is terrorist activity.
so, being tired of the boogey man that is "the terrorists" I like to illustrate how the exact same power failure scenario went down in Iraq (and may still be going down for all we know) at the hands of the US.
but hey I'm on an anti war kick... fuck you.
- whiteSneaks0
fuck off iraq has had spotty power supply for twelve years. saddam made sure palaces were completely restored before upgrading the power gride.
the war is over nothing to oppose anymore

We lost power momentarily here in Ct.
Makes you want a little hut with a solar panel and generator, doesn't it??
I hope people rethink Bush's energy plan. Just what we need, more centralized mega plants.
Personally, I am investigating solar panels (I am an architect, so I do those kind of things). There is some good possibilities to help get rid of singular reliance of power and energy. I just hope it can be promoted before it gets killed by big oil (as it did 20 years ago).

Gee do you know why Iraq may or may not have had spotty power for the last 12 years? Sanctions imposed by the US.
- whiteSneaks0
sanctions didn't impede the rebuilding of 8 or more palaces.
nevermind though. the main point, as pointed by others, is you slip anti-this and anti-that bullshit where ever you can draw a shakey parallel. just annoying, not a big deal.
peace

no more fighting, or i'll have to slap both your wrists.
i find it kinda interesting that terrorism was the first thing mentioned though...
