It'll be a long time before people forget.
It's not ruled out, though. All they know is that things weren't blown up.

lilbabylegBetween 1991 and 1995, when Iraqis lost two-thirds of their income and the United Nations was searching for weapons of mass destruction, the pace of construction accelerated.

About $600 million they found in currency at Saddam's palaces. And there is $100 million in U.S. currency and 90 million Euros that were located in an armored vehicle last month. Don't know exactly where they came from, whether it was from the Central Bank or not, but that's an awful lot of cash they found already.

hmmm, I stand corrected. Although the definition that article uses (and there are others that describe the "palaces" as military bunkers) for "palaces" were pretty militaristic in nature. But as well... I will shut the fuck up.

I think it's perfectly rational to wonder if the power outages were caused by terrorists.
Why?
Because their main goal, as we have found out from interogations, documents, etc. is to disrupt the United States by attacking power sources, water sources, transportation systems, etc, anything that has an effect on the economy. We know that they have looked into attacking ports, power stations, nuclear plants, bridges, gas stations.
And what does this current outage across multiple states result in?
Millions of people not working for hopefully just a day, inconveniences, unable to get home, way of life altered, a sense of worry, etc.If anything, this is an even bigger mess because it potentially shows terrorists how vulnerable such an electrical system can be. If this was caused by a fire at one main place, that displays the vulnerability of that one place and it's effect on many other power plants. They had to take so many plants off line because they didn't know what could cause more problems.
I'm not a fatalist, but now is quite an opportune time for terrorists to either A)Take note of how a problem at one central place literally shuts down power across a region states and the biggest city in the US, and B)Has anyone stopped to think about an increased vulnerability to attack while this is going on right now?

Until they blow up some buildings in london, you wouldnt get it.
