they go to your desktop on a mac... I think you can though. My mac creates pdf docs of each screenshot.
=)

most likely it puts them on your desktop. next in your home directory under documents. third, it just copies it to your clipboard - so paste it into photoshop. (but if you use the utility called "grab" then it should open a file right there)

for php, just replace the '[' and ']' with ''
[? include("file.txt"); ?]

hypnotherapy? do they get good buisness?
- xrusos0
mitsu probably means the greater than/less than brackets. - but NT won't show them

first of all what kind of server is this running on, apache, IIS?
what do you have installed on the server, ASP, PHP, etc.?and it won't matter what the client computer is because its a *server* side include.
on a pc a screen shot is alt-print screen and it stores the picture in your clipboard. you need to paste it into either photoshop, ms paint, or ms word.
on a mac it ends up on your desktop (osx) or inside of your system folder (os9).

"mitsu probably means the greater than/less than brackets. - but NT won't show them"
correct. and make sure the server you run this on supports SSI

this computer is screwed up. it's the one i use at work and it's partitioned into three different hard drives. i use osx and the screengrabs don't show up on my desktop. it also will not let me paste it into photoshop. what a pain.

as long as 'ssi' in enabled it will work on apache or iis, it doesn't matter.
secondly, it doesn't have to be an "asp" page to work, the file extension is ".shtml".
that is what makes ssi work.
the php inlcude is good, too.
but, why not just use a pre-made cms system? there are plenty of free systems out there (check http://www.hotscripts.com).
it would be easier and better design quality than using an insecure txt file.
