Is this possible?
I am developing a site for a client and he wants to edit the text on the site by himself. He want's to use frontpage.
I am not going to let him. If he does, it is at his own risk.
What I want to do is just give him a damn text file to edit. This way he makes NO mistakes.
Is it possible to have an html file display a text file within a certain table?
Any links or tags would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

yeah, SSI (server-side includes) can do this for you.
- unknown0
or get him to use macromedia contribute and bypass the ftp process

other methods:
build an admin section that he can update content which is saved in a database.
you could also use php/asp/etc to acccess csv files or plain text files and parse the data from them and put it into the page before it's sent to the client.

which is the easiest.
The client isn't paying enough for a database or an admin page. I would go the admin page, but not for this kat.
How would you go about doing the include thing?

!-- #include file="mydoc.txt" --
(tags removed on purpose)
just put this in your td tags or whereever you want to see the text file.
