I use OS X at work. I love the interface cuz it's soo different. It's really animated. I am PC fan all the way, but there are certain things that I love about the mac, like the layout and navigation.. But I hate how slow it is.. It's a G4, but It is soo much slower than my PC. I was thinking of maybe getting a mac but the $ I prefer to buy a Dell.

eh, does the new Panther even support 64 bit architecture?

apple acts as if its such a big deal that they got a nice system now.......give it a few weeks until the new Xeon's are released or the new Athlons.

has anyone even read the article on how Apple is going to die out next year?

steve jobs didnt even mention how badly linux is going to do some ownage on apple products.

    radio-
i don't care if you are a designer or use your mac to bake cakes...nothing absolves the fact that they are ridiculously priced and as someone just noted, they are slow.

sure, beef em up and they will perform, but at what cost $$$? i am excited to hear that you make good money and hope you continue to do so. lets not make this personal.

economically macs do not make sense. for a niche market? yes. apple's campaign to "switch" fell short quick when the consumer opted to switch but soon reverted due to one thing: cost.

macs are excellent for people that know how to use them well. pc's are excellent for people that know how to use them well.

change the prices and the tides will change. apple will see a dominant serge in the market thus making them more competitve.

seeing as we are on the subject of paying too much for nothing: is there a correlation between apple owners and vw jetta owners?

my dad fucken hates his pc. he's always swearing at it.

i told him to get a mac and he told me:

"theyre for girls and homos" (he's not very politicaly correct)

twooh, i was looking for this article. you rock!

"...for $248, you can buy a brand new, ready-to-use Linux desktop computer from Wal-mart.com."

248 bucks and you have an os the shits on most os's out there. tsk tsk mac users! fighting the machine and buying into the bs all at once. contradictions abound!

your dad may be on to something sexy. j/k

he would be just as flustered with his non conforming mac.

he should get a linux box. :)

PCs can lick my love pump......anyone who thinks PCs are better is just a jealous ignorant loser!.....and thats the damn truth! BOO YA!!!!!!!

  • founding0

Guess you have to look at what you are looking for ... i love to have a fast machine that looks nice and runs nice like a mac but i also like to play video game now and then ... i love free software ... so in the end a PC makes more sense for me ... and just because the G5 is the fastest now doesn’t mean is it will be the fasters in 3 months ... pc always get faster while mac' s get updated ever couple of years .... try a G4 and see how your self ... PC all the way

MAC will never ever take the lead.

Apple is acting like bubble gum pop music on mtv

Be smart and buy a pc and take your girl out with the rest of the money (if she's special of course, else just buy her a beer and build yourself a nice linux box)

    honda, you're full of it.

If macs were on par with PCs pricewise, nothing would change. It's called inertia. It's the reason why people stick with inferior products and why better products fail in the marketplace. Change happens slowly in the marketplace, that marketing 101.

There is a good reason why macs are more expensive than PC. it's called usability. I know that the numerous interface differences in Mac make me a happier and more productive worker. Perhaps I know because I work for a living, and I have access to both platforms. Apple has complete control over the system, and thus they have more control over the user experience -- on hardware and on software. Yet this control results in higher prices from higher R&D and from smaller scales of economy. It's called a premium. It's not a performance premium, it's a usability premium. You obviously never used a Mac for actual work, so you don't know what it's about.

It's a strange kind of snobbery exibited from people who think they're anti-snobs. it's still personal, however, and it's still elitist and naive. The irony is that folks like you accuse others of not looking past eye candy, when you seem to not be able to look past it yourself. get over yourself you hater, and stop pretending to know it all.

kpl rocks my tiny little world!......thanks!......and, I agree, that its 100% true that there is snobbery exibited from those who think they are anti-snobs......everyone tends to call Mac users conformists......yet we're the minority....and, by the way, you don't have to be rich to own a Mac......its called an Apple Loan....the interest rate is great right now......I used to be homeless, and if I can afford a Mac than anyone can......its called financial responsibilty.....look into it......oh ya, and you PC users, at the end of the day, you're still using a Microsoft OS.......BWAAAHAHAAAHAAAAHAAAA... seriously, there is NO ARGUMENT!!!

  • sexypixel0

hahaha, you're all a pack of nerds. can we change the direction of this thread to

    jocks vs boxers

i like the freefall feeling i get in boxers, but hate the way my c@ck rubs against my zipper :(

  • kpl0

    sexypixel, you're full of it.

If boxers were on par with briefs pricewise, nothing would change. It's called inertia. It's the reason why people stick with inferior products and why better products fail in the marketplace. Change happens slowly in the marketplace, that marketing 101.

There is a good reason why boxers are more expensive than briefs. it's called usability. I know that the numerous interface differences in boxers make me a happier and more productive worker. Perhaps I know because I work for a living, and I have access to both underwears. Boxers has complete control over the system, and thus they have more control over the user experience -- on balls and on cock. Yet this control results in higher prices from higher R&D and from smaller scales of economy. It's called a premium. It's not a performance premium, it's a usability premium. You obviously never used a boxer for actual work, so you don't know blah blah blah blah...

you know I thought this was kinda funny for awhile...hmm...

  • sexypixel0

how dare you say briefs are better than boxers, just becuase the hold you package that bit firmer dont mean shit, and whenever i wear briefs my skidmarkers are of a much darker consistancy that with boxers and detergant 1.01.2 never gets them stains out, and dont start me on pee stains

  • kpl0

    Damn you sexy!
