PC still wins
Athlon64 Is coming out the same time. Not to mention soon Athlon64 will be 0.9micron which will boost it to 3.0+ gigs
PC motherboards will support 16 gigs of ram unlike apple only 8 dual athlon64bit each running at 4600 with 16 gigs of ram serial ATI was available for pc months ago not to mention its not worth gettin serial ATI just yet till Januaray when they will have it twice as fast.We are still in the lead PC users STILL IN THE LEAD.

that pc case is so based on Lian Li PC70 Case which i own and it kicks ass. I do like the airflow design in the G5 Case though brilliant

copy the mac? sure. i'd buy a cheaper knock off that runs 90% of the software out there and looks just as good.
i wouldn't mind an "Athens" pc.

if you are in a REAL design frim, or doing REALLY KICK ASS work, then you'll need PCs and MACs. Each is good for its own thing.
I would have to say that a mac is a little more friendly when it comes to multimeida and such, but a PC still runs Flash really damn fast....
Id have to say that I love PCs and Macs equally... all factors considered. (if only the PC cases looked nicer)

pc vs. mac is a thing of the past. its about choice now.
if only apple dropped their prices a bit.
then again, when you control such a small percentage of the market, charging assloads of money to yuppies that want to feel special is a brilliant marketing strategy.

That's great that PC64's will be out at the same time... too bad as of yet Windows can not utilize the chip nor can most of your 90% worth of software. Here's a quote:

Plus even though Microsoft is supporting these chips they are tweaking a completely differnet version of the OS to do so.
Where Apple takes it is that the hardware and software work together, something PC peoples never seem to understand. Updated OS X and the soon to be Panter will support the chips as well as all the free apps that come with the system.

To end this PC/Mac thread (does it ever end???) to comment on the last post- I have to disagree. I have been using macs only for ten years- I only use a PC when forced or to help my mom cancel AOL. I get all my work done- I work in the design field- and I make good money. There has been nothing I need to do and was only able to do on a PC. And yes- being a geeky mac dude this makes me happy. I am a supporter but I am a designer first- when the time comes that I NEED a PC I will use one- but I never see that day coming since I have been told it will be coming for 10 years now. To each there own-
