Neo: Oh...deja vu.
Trinity: What did you just say?
Neo: Nothing, just had a little deja vu.
Trinity: What did you see?
Cypher: What happened?
Neo: A War Thread went past us, and then another that looked just like it.
Trinity: How much like it - was it the same War thread?
Neo: Might have been, I'm not sure.
Morpheus: Switch, Apoc!
Neo: What is it?
Trinity: A deja vu is usually a glitch in the NT® - it happens when they change something.
--------
Neo: What are you trying to tell me - that I can dodge War Threads?
Morpheus: No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to.
-------
Cypher: Good shit, huh? Dozer makes it. It's good for two things, degreasing engines and killin' brain cells.
Neo: Oh!

911 created a frenzy of fear.
it created...
1. The Patriot Act
2. The Homeland Security Act
3. The Emergency Health Powers Act
4. The Department of Homeland Security
5. The Afghanistan War (Haliburton is building a pipeline there now)
6. The Iraqi War (everyone is going to be building pipelines there)
7. Bush pushing to begin new nuclear testing.coming soon..
Patriot Act II
Restructuring the middle east to suite the US agenda. If you haven't read any of those 'Acts' then you have no idea what the govornment is up to.

"what is this 'frenzy of fear' you speak of? plz elaborate."
Don't you remember the media in the 6 months leading up to the war?
Don't you remember the warnings to buy duct tape and the replaying of 9-11 footage that had nothing to do with Iraq?
Gas masks ring a bell?

they haven't found any WMD in Iraq, they probably wont either, the US goverment now says they are in Syria, Sharon is on the bandwagon saying the Syrian leader is dangerous... smells like Israel and US are about to gangbang Syria, Blair is going to be pissed cause he wants peace in the middle east (hey that rhymes!) and Bush is going to have to screw over Sharon or Blair eventually and make Israel stop, but Israel is really pissed right now cause Palestine killed one of their tough dirt Commanders, get prepared for some gunship attacks on the Palestine population later this week... i need to get some popcorn, all this war drama is getting good again...

"Don't you remember the warnings to buy duct tape and the replaying of 9-11 footage that had nothing to do with Iraq?"
ahhhh, well i have to say, the notion that that was shown to instill fear in everyone is laughable at best!!! that doesn't mean i think the war was well warranted or that our government is doing the right thing... i just think the propaganda claims are too far fetched. i think it goes back to *many of you having this idea that since many americans can't find iraq on the map then they must all be intellecually inferior to the rest of the world.

*running naked thru thread*

yeah, that is sorta stupid...

jamesh, that is sad, and i feel sorry for those people. i don't condone everything that happened over there, but the fact is we didn't go over there to kill innocent children. but for some reason, i don't think you want to believe that.
- vespa0
"well i have to say, the notion that that was shown to instill fear in everyone is laughable at best!!!"
ok. so you weren't scared that Iraq was going to bomb you with supposed WMDs?
Even I started getting nervous when Heathrow was surrounded by army tanks and helicopters were patrolling london skies.
- robotron3k0
war is gay!
*no offense to all the good gay peoples out there - but gay, more along the line of a bunch of white people going to a strange exotic land and playing grab ass...
- mitsu0
"ok. so you weren't scared that Iraq was going to bomb you with supposed WMDs? "
honestly, no.
- vespa0
so do you think the coallition was doing this out of humanitarian concern?

Of course we didn't go over there to kill innocent children.
But that's exactly what happened.
What I don't believe is that we went over there to 'liberate' them.
I saw an interview the other day of a US soldier... very redneck kind of guy... he said he signed up for military service a few days after 911 and has "been waiting for his chance to get revenge" and when asked if he thought that Saddam was also responsible for 911 he said "definitely." later in the interview he talked about the rush of getting his first kill, how excited he was.
this type of primitive barbaric warmonger attitude combined with the average blindly patriotic american lead by a gung ho trigger happy administration and you have a formula for disaster.
- mitsu0
it could have been, but i can't say for sure, nor can anyone outside of bush's administration
hmm, i suppose it could have been for oil, in which case i don't back our decision to take iraq.
and even if it was just to oust saddam, while i agree with our taking the initiative, i don't think our preemptive strike was well warranted. especially w/out the un's support.

mitsu what the hell is wrong with you?
tell me about one war that didn't put misery on innocent people?
intentionally killing innocent people or not still makes them murderers.
